Deborah was born in Newport, South Wales and brought up on a smallholding in Monmouthshire with pedigree suffolks and beef cattle. Having worked with cattle and sheep for most of her life, she qualified as an animal health advisor (SQP) specialising on sheep and horses and now works closely with farmers, smallholders, equine and pet owners. Deborah married into a farming family with a herd of suckler cows and she also keeps chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and horses. Her interests include training and working springer spaniels, shooting, horseriding and helping out on the farm. Deborah also sits on the committee of Usk Farmers Club.
