A vacancy exists for a post-doctoral research scientist to join an exciting, inter-disciplinary collaborative project involving Moredun, the Roslin Institute and Zoetis, on the cattle parasite, Ostertagia ostertagi. The project will develop and characterise bovine abomasal organoids in order to study interactions between the parasite, anthelmintic drugs and host epithelial cells. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with appropriate laboratory experience and excellent communication skills. This position offers excellent opportunities for career development and skills training in organoid culture, imaging, transcriptomics, pharmacology and parasitology, and experience of working with an industrial partner. The post is funded for 3 years and is an Easter Bush Research Consortium (EBRC) project funded by Zoetis. The provisional start date is 14th September 2020, but is flexible. Interviews are planned for the week commencing 10th August 2020.
